Great news for travel enthusiasts! Starting December 1, 2023, North Sikkim is open for tourists with a few guidelines for a safe and enjoyable experience:
Convoy Travel: Tourist vehicles will move in convoys along the Sankalang-Toong-Chungthang road, offering a shared scenic journey.
Time Restrictions: After 4 PM, tourist vehicles won’t be allowed on the Sankalang-Toong-Chungthang road. Plan your itinerary accordingly to make the most of daylight hours.
Assistance Available: In case of any issues, TAAS and Tourism Department representatives are ready to provide necessary assistance.
